Ia meraih gelar Sarjana Fisika (1997) dan Magister Fisika (2000) dari Jurusan Fisika Universitas Indonesia. Ia terpilih untuk mengikuti Program Diploma Fisika Materi Padat yang diselenggarakan oleh The Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Phyicis (ICTP), di Trieste, Italia (2001-2002).
