Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Abdul Haris

Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Abdul Haris adalah staf akademik di Departemen Fisika, Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam, Universitas Indonesia. Ia lahir di Pemalang pada tanggal 21 September 1970. Ia memperoleh gelar Sarjana dan Magister dari Departemen Fisika, Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam, Universitas Indonesia. Ia melanjutkan Studi Doktor dalam Bidang Geofisika di Universitas Kiel, Jerman, di bawah bimbingan Prof. Dr. E. Flueh, Prof. Dr. W. Rabel dan Dr. Dirk Klaschen, dan menyelesaikannya pada tahun 2002. Ia berhasil mempertahankan disertasinya yang berjudul "Amplitude Preserving Pre-stack Depth Migration and Its Application to Imaging of BSR in Marine Multi-channel Seismic Reflection Data" dengan predikat cum laude. Ia sekarang aktif bekerja sebagai dosen dan memberikan bimbingan untuk mahasiswa geofisika sarjana dan pascasarjana. Ia juga aktif berkontribusi pada Masyarakat Geofisika Indonesia (HAGI) sebagai Wakil Presiden HAGI untuk sertifikasi.
