Dr. Santoso Soekirno merupakan seorang ahli di bidang Sensor dan Elektronika dan aktif memberikan kuliah pada mata kuliah Sensor dan Instrumentasi Elektronika, beliau juga disibukkan dengan bimbingan belajar kepada para mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan tugas akhir khususnya yang berhubungan dengan sensor dan transduser. Ia lahir di Jogjakarta pada tanggal 4 April 1961. Beliau memperoleh gelar sarjana dan magister dari Universitas Indonesia dan gelar doktor dari Universitas Besancon, Perancis, dalam bidang komponen LC dengan judul disertasi Frequency Control Parameters for Oscillator Sensor, A Study on LC Component.
