Vission and Mission
Vision
To be the organizer of the Medical Physicist Professional Study Program which produces Medical Physicists with high professional abilities who uphold objectivity and ethics at the national, regional or global levels towards excellence in Southeast Asia.
Mission
- Organizing learning programs that integrate education and research in Medical Physics, while also providing clinical training to support Medical Physics services in hospitals.
- Producing graduates capable of delivering Medical Physics services, equipped with analytical, critical, creative, innovative, and conceptual thinking, oriented toward problem solving, and upholding objectivity, professionalism, and ethical values.
- Implementing Medical Physics services that contribute to the advancement of science and technology in the application of physics to medicine.
- Preparing Medical Physicists who are able to compete at both regional and international levels.
- Fulfilling the demand for Medical Physicists in accordance with national and international standards.

- Able to make independent decisions in carrying out the work of the Medical Physicist profession based on logical, critical, systematic, and creative thinking.
- Able to develop and demonstrate responsibility for work in the fields of radiotherapy, diagnostic and interventional radiology, and nuclear medicine according to the code of ethics of the Medical Physicist profession.
- Able to evaluate and develop organizational strategic programs to improve quality based on national and international standards.
Graduate Profile
Medical physicists who have intellect, professionalism, and high ethics for health services as health workers in hospitals with national standards and in line with international standards. The main role of graduates in hospitals is to test the quality of radiation equipment and ensure radiation safety in patients, staff, and the public for the purpose of cancer diagnosis and treatment with diagnostic and interventional radiology, radiotherapy, and nuclear medicine modalities.
Requirements for Prospective Studens
Bachelor of Physics or Bachelor of Nuclear Engineering with a specialization in Medical Physics from a member campus of the Association of Indonesian Medical Physics Education Institutions (AIPFMI) or a Master of Medical Physics or Physics with a specialization in Medical Physics from an AIPFMI member campus with a Bachelor of Physics background.

Stage and Info
Admission Process for New Students of the Medical Physicist Professional Program, Department of Physics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Indonesia (FMIPA UI)
- Prospective students must register on the website ui.ac.id between May 14, 2025 – June 16, 2025.
- There are two class options available for prospective students to choose from: Regular Class and Special Class.
- Regular Class: Open to all applicants who meet the general requirements and pass the applicable selection process.
- Special Class: Intended for applicants who are willing to undergo clinical practice rotations outside of Java Island during the study period and commit to working at healthcare facilities outside Java Island after graduation. Applicants to the special class are required to sign an Integrity Pact, committing to work at healthcare facilities outside of Java after completing the Medical Physicist Professional Program
- The diploma submitted for SIMAK UI registration must be a Bachelor’s degree (S1).
- Prospective students must also register for the basic medical physics proficiency test at https://www.e-ujian.com/profesi_fismed_ui/registrasi between May 14, 2025 – June 18, 2025.
- Only applicants who have registered for SIMAK UI at ui.ac.id and attached a screenshot/print screen of the registration proof are allowed to register for the proficiency test.
- Applicants must upload their diploma and transcript as per the program requirements: Bachelor’s in Physics, Bachelor’s in Nuclear Engineering, Master’s in Physics with a Medical Physics specialization, or Master’s in Medical Physics.
- Applicants who do not register for the basic medical physics proficiency test will not receive access to take the test.
- Basic Medical Physics Proficiency Test (Friday, May 20, 2025, 09.00 – 11.00 WIB)
- The test will use a Computer-Based Test (CBT) system in collaboration with e-ujian.com and will be conducted simultaneously at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, UI Depok Campus.
- The username and password for the test will be sent via email after the registration data submitted in step 2 is verified.
- During the test, participants are only allowed to bring an ID card (e.g., KTP); pens and scratch paper will be provided.
- The test consists of 7 areas: Radiology and Dosimetry, Radiotherapy, Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, Radiation Protection, Radiobiology, and Professional Ethics.
- SIMAK UI Implementation (June 21 – 22, 2025)
- Prospective students must choose 1 of 3 available test sessions.
- SIMAK UI is conducted using a CBT system at the UI Depok Campus.
- The SIMAK UI exam consists of an academic potential test and an English test.
- Interview Process (June 23 – July 4, 2025)
- Interviews are conducted for all registered prospective students.
- The interviews will be conducted online via Zoom or other platforms.
- Interview schedules will be sent via email.
- Announcement of Selection Results (July 17, 2025, at 16.00 WIB)
- Selection results will only be announced through ui.ac.id
- Final admission decisions are based on the cumulative results of all selection stages.
